By far, this is my favorite video of the year. I’ve probably watched it over 20 times today.
Two runners stopped for an interview with a KOIN reporter in Portland, OR during a recent snow storm. When the reporter asks the couple why they are running in the snow, she gives the cockiest answer ever.
“It’s the perfect texture for running, very low impact, and it’s dry snow so your feet don’t get wet.”
As the interview comes to an end, the runners take off. What happens next is pure karma. After a few steps, she slips on a patch of ice and falls flat on her back. What was that about the “perfect texture?”
She slowly recovers and gives the camera a very weak thumbs-up.
For the record, I can’t stand runners who go out in these conditions. It’s bad enough trying to drive in the snow, but you have to worry about these two idiots running in the middle of the road.
I agree that she was sounding all pretentious and cocky -- loved that "low impact" plant, hee, hee!!!! Thanks for sharing!
I think you are being pretty cold. No pun intended. She said it was low impact and dry. Didn't say it wasn't slippery. They were out having fun. I really didn't see cocky. I think you are looking for the worst in people. I felt bad for her. Not just because she was clearly in pain, but it had to be embarrassing as well. Especially when there are unsympathetic people like yourself out there.
