Even Siri knows that last night’s Game 1 of the 2013 World Series wasn’t even close. Ask your Apple device a few questions this morning.
Did the Red Sox win last night?
Siri: “The Red Sox trounced the Cardinals in game 1 of the World Series by a score of 8 to 1 yesterday.”
Who won the Cardinals game last night?
Siri: “The Cardinals were crushed by the Red Sox in game 1 of the World Series yesterday; the final score was 8 to 1.”
If the Cardinals continue to play defense like they did in Game 1, committing 3 errors and comically letting an infield fly ball drop between Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina, we may watch a sweep repeat of 2004.
Who would’ve guess that Siri knew what “trounced” mean?
The St. Louis Cardinals had a rough start to Game 1 of the 2013 World Series. After shortstop Pete Kozma dropped a put-out at second base that sparked a 3 run first inning for the Boston Red Sox, miscommunication between starting pitcher Adam Wainwright and catcher Yadier Molina allowed an easy Stephen Drew pop-up to fall for an infield single in the 2nd inning.
The error kicked off a 2-run inning for the Red Sox, who ended up with an 8-1 victory in Game 1.
More concerning for the Cardinals is the injury to outfielder Carlos Beltran, who suffered a rib injury after robbing a David Ortiz home run. Beltran left the game in the 2nd inning and is currently day-to-day.
It’s kind of hard to get street cred if a bloated punter is lighting you up, Trindon Holliday.
Just look at Colin Kaepernick’s eyes after lineman Alex Boone headbutts him without a helmet.
Tacky-town, USA. Is it possible to design something less appealing?
Great job looking out for Red Sox Nation and saving them $29.99 because no one is buying this crap.
I love the effort, Prince Fielder. Just give it your all. Head first belly flop.
Except, you were four feet short and three right to the right of the bag.
It = tackling the piss out of someone.
South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney delivered a ginormous hit on Tennessee RB Rajion Neal – eerily similar to when he knocked Michigan RB Vincent Smith helmet off during the 2013 Outback Bowl.
Luckily for MLB Umpire Rob Drake, this play had no real impact on the outcome of the Boston Red Sox 4-3 Game 5 win over the Detroit Tigers in the 2013 ALCS.
Because if it did…he might’ve ended up umpiring the Little League World Series next year.
Tigers catcher Brayan Pena raced down the third base line in an attempt to tag our Will Middlebrooks. The play was going to be close until Drake decided to position inches from the bag and blocked Pena’s glove from making the tag.
I love watching Drake struggle to get back to his feet and finally call Middlebrooks safe.

It has been a tough Game 4 of the ALCS for the Boston Red Sox. They’ve been dominated by the Detroit Tigers after a 5-run 2nd inning and were heckled by the Detroit fan base.
In the bottom of the 7th inning, Red Sox right fielder Shane Victorino made a difficult catch against the outfield wall. Someone in the stands seemingly yelled to Victorino, “you’re a bitch,” which caught his attention. Victorino did not hesitate to shout back.
I’ll make you my bitch. Shut the fuck up.
Thanks FOX for those awesome microphones that pick up everything.
