NFL Divisional Round Saturday 2012 Preview

So we are lazy and mostly like to look at pictures of girls, but we’ll take a complete of minutes during the 2012 NFL Playoffs to make some picks. With no research or effort, we base our decisions strictly on hearsay and things that have nothing to do with the actual game…Enjoy.

New Orleans Saints vs San Francisco 49ers

Last week I talked about the Atlanta Falcons being a “fake” good team, and they proved me right by only scoring a safety against the New York Giants.  The San Francisco 49ers are no different and remind me of the Chicago Bears teams in the early 2000s that would earn home field advantage, a first round bye and than get smoked in the playoffs. Expect to see Alex Smith playing very average in the first half and than throwing two key picks in the second half trying to stage a comeback…and failing.  I feel those two picks being very ugly, like Neil O’Donnell in the Super Bowl ugly.  Frank Gore would keep this game close except he will get hit with an injury in the second quarter.  The only way the 49ers are winning this game is if Ronnie Lott cuts off another finger.  Drew Brees + DayQuil = Saints Win!
Winner: Saints (by 3-7)

Denver Broncos vs New England Patriots

There is nothing I would enjoy more than watching Tim Tebow rally his team in the 4th quarter to an upset win over the Patriots, but it aint going to happen.  There’s not a better coach at second half adjustments than Bill Belichick, which was evident a few weeks ago when the Patriots overcame a 17 point deficit to beat the Broncos.  Come to think of it, during halftime is when Belichick gets all the first half sideline tapes for his SpyGate team, now it all makes sense.  Josh McDaniels being on the sideline will mean very little, except that he might have a camera hidden in the buttons of his jacket.  Patriots are going to win this game and I’m guessing big.  Note: I didn’t predict the Broncos to win last week, so I think I’m secretly picking the Pats hoping that I will be wrong again.  Please don’t call me Judas, Tim!

Winner: Patriots(by 10+)
