Like most people twenty-five and holder, I collected baseball cards as a child. This Billy Ripken story is apparently old, but I never heard about it until recently. This image is from a 1989 Fleer card. Ripken wrote “Fuck Face” on the bottom of his batting practice bat so that he wouldn’t confuse it with his game bat. This picture was taken during pre-game batting practice at Fenway Park. The card was released and then corrected which skyrocketed its value to thousands of dollars at its peek. Now its worth around$5.
