If this is a small glimpse of what Clint Eastwood‘s new golf channel Back9Network will be like, I’m all in. Eastwood, who will hold the role as “creative chairman” for the new channel, was hanging out in the CBS announce booth at Pebble Beach with Jim Nantz and Nick Faldo. The energy was overwhelming. And when I say overwhelming, I mean like a funeral.
There are a couple of funny moments to point out.
First, I get the feeling when Eastwood tells Faldo, “its nice seeing you all fresh today,” he is making reference to a hard partying night by Faldo. I’m not dreaming that, right?
Second, before the light bulb pops these three guys make no sense talking about Phil Mickelson drinking and having a good time the night before. Its almost like a producer popped that bulb as a way to get out of the segment that was going no where fast.
At 1:12 mark, enjoy a really uncomfortable long drawn out laughing moment.
