Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig proved to Instagram users that he was on time for Wednesday night’s game in Miami by taking a picture while pointing to a clock that read 3:18.
Puig made headlines on Tuesday when he was fined “more than a dollar and less than $10,000” for arriving 30 minutes late to Marlins Park. Puig was pulled from the starting lineup after being tardy but Dodgers manager Don Mattingly claimed that he was planning on resting Puig that day anyway.
Puig was staying with family in Miami and claimed heavy traffic was the reason for his delay.
Puig ended up pinch-hitting in the 8th inning and hitting a go-ahead home run off Marlin Dan Jennings.
