I’m starting to think it’s me. Maybe I’m emotionally detached from my mother? Maybe I’m the crazy one but its bizarre to watch the new generation of NBA stars kiss their mothers ON THE LIPS during games.
Now watching this morning’s SportsCenter they showed OKC Thunder’s Kevin Durant kissing his mom ON THE LIPS after victories as she sits court side (I wonder if those are the two seats he offered to Lil Wayne?).
I don’t kiss my mother on the lips, its all cheek. Vote below and help me understand.
It's pretty f'n weird at least in American culture, but I dont consider it perverted or anything, they obviously don't mean it like that, only a truley sick m***** would, and these guys are not.
What?! These comments must be a joke. Being a real man means leaving the lip-locking for your girlfriend/lifepartner/wife. When you stop breast-feeding, you should stop kissing mommy on the mouth. And to mommies out there who engage in this with their grown boys: cut the cord already! Stop being so jealous/possessive/creepy and know what your APPROPRIATE role is in your boy's life!
Any form of affection is personal an unique to each individual's social economical psychological and developmental background. If your parents fed you a bunch of lies and was detached from you as a child, I can understand the resentment. I kiss my Dad my brothers, sisters and kids on the lips.
NAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Mother is one very special woman in my life. I came out of her body through the vaginal exit, and fed from her breast, as a BABY. The bond we share is lifetime. I always feel affection for her. But as my mother.
My girlfriend, my wife did not do for me what Mom did for me. But she is unique, special. We have become one, if I use the Biblical analogy; and bonded with a level of social, romantic and sexual intimacy that is for none other but her. A kiss on the lips is there, or getting there. The nature of things, muy love.
Nobody said you had to French her,Don !! Are you saying you aren't man enough to kiss THE most important person in your life on her lips?!!? How sad for your Mother. I have MANY female friends, besides my wife, whom I greet with a kiss on the lips. Naturally I save the "big ones" for my Mrs., but there certainly is nothing wrong with a quick kiss in greeting or departing from one's friends and relatives. Now,my Dad,brothers, sons and grandsons is another story !!
